Clash of Clans is a free-played mobile video game. Which was created and published by Finnish game developer Supercell.
The game was released for the iOS platform in 2012 ( August 2) and 2013 (October 7) for Google Play for Android.
Gameplay- Clash of Clans
Clash Of Clans is an online most-player game where many players form associations called groups, train soldiers, and Attack other players to gain wealth.
The game has four coins or assets. Gold and nectar are used to build and promote defenses. So, traps protect the player village from attack by other players and build and promote buildings. Nectar and dark nectar are also used to train and promote soldiers and spells. Gems are premium coins. Attack rates on a 3-star scale and have a maximum duration of 3min. The game has a pseudo-single-player campaign where players attack several protected goblin villages to collect gold, and nectar (and dark nectar at the highest level).
To perform an upgrade, a free builder is required. The game begins with two creators. But players up to 5 builders buy gems and builders can get one-sixth by undoing the OTTO hut at 9 Base.
Buildings Clash of Clans
To collect and store gold and nectar, Players build gold and gold mines reserves and nectar collectors, and nectar storage. Elixir was used to conduct research in the lab to train new soldiers. Eagle Artillery is the defensive building available at First Town Hall11. Town Hall11 also gives access to a new hero – The Grand Warden, who needs nectar to be born and promoted differently from other heroes. Town Hall12A, A defense called Giga Tesla was installed in the town hall. The Giga Inferno replaces the Giga Tesla. When promoted to Town Hall13. Town Hall also undoes the 13 Scattershot Building and also the Royal Champion Hero. Town Hall14 undo Pet House. A building used to house the pets of the heroes. the builder’s ability to promote huts to Level4, turning them into attack structures. The player has several buildings accessible to protect their village. including Archer Tower, Mortar, Teslas, Bomb, Trap, Inferno Tower, Eagle Artillery, Wizard Tower, and also a scattershot. Players also build walls, which can further promote as The town hall level increase.
Soldiers and spells
The game has 2 categories of barracks one is barracks and another one is dark barracks. with 2 categories of spell factories. Barracks build troops using nectar, whereas dark barracks build troops using dark nectar.
These barracks upgraded to higher levels to unlock more troops. Some of the soldiers in the Clash of Clans include barbarians, archers, monsters, wall breakers, balloons, magicians, healers, dragons, P.E.K.K.A.s, baby dragons, minors, electro-dragons, rates, and ice wizards. Each army has its unique strengths and weaknesses.
Spelling factories follow the same way. General spelling factories make spells using nectar. Dark spell factories use dark nectar.
All troops and spells have different features. Also, the Dark Spell Factory makes spellings that require less space.
This means it’s about to be the most delusional time of the year, as well. As the player progresses several new troops and spells can be unlocked.
At Town Hall12, workshops can be held. The building can produce four types of siege machines: wall racker, battle blimp, stone slammer, and siege barracks.
In 2020, Introduced Super Troops are soldiers who have special abilities that are stronger than their real opponents. Town Hall 14 unlocks Pet House, a building used to house the heroes’ pets. There are four types of pets. Unicorn, L.A.S.S.I, Electro Owl, and Mighty Yak, each play a different role in helping a hero.
Group and group war Clash of Clans
Groups are teams of players who join together to support each other, either physically (donating troops) or verbally (advising). Players can join the group after first rebuilding the special Clan Castle building. A key element of the gameplay of Clash of Clans is the fact that the “group wars” are groups that face each other. Group leaders and co-leaders can start a war against other groups. Each clan gives a “day of preparation” and a “day of the war.”
In the March 2016 update, the 35vs35 and 45vs4s5 have been removed. The available battle sizes are 50vs50, 40vs40, 30vs30, 25vs25, 20vs20, 15vs15, 10vs10, and 5vs5.
In the 2016 update, friendly challenges were introduced to allow clanmates to compete with other clanmates, these challenges do not provide loot or trophies and do not affect a player’s army. In the 2018 update, the Clash of Clans War League introduced The Klan to advance to the next league.
Builder base
Coming the update on 2017 May 22), Supercell released a new “Builder Base” game mode on the clash of clans. So, This allows players to travel to a new island and create a new village with a different set of buildings.
In the “Builder Base” game mode, players attack each other’s bases simultaneously. The player who loses the most or gets the most stars can get rewards like gold, nectar, and a trophy. win gold and nectar for the first three wins made by the player within 24 hours. Players can spend gems to speed up the time in the game. Progress at this base will accelerate with the introduction of the Clock Tower (temporarily accelerating the process at the entire builder base) and the Gem Mine. With this update a new hero, Battle Machine also launched.
The only hero of this game is a reusable power called the electric hammer. In 2018(March), Builder Hall Level 8 was released while 2019. So update brought Builder Hall 9 which is currently the highest Builder Hall level. This update is OTTO Hut.
Updated Version Clash of Clans
In 2017, Supersell launched Clan Games where group members could work together to complete tasks. Then They would earn group points.
When enough points accumulate, a new prize level is unlocked and players can select a prize from each unlocked level. This update also introduces Magic Items, which are available as prizes through Clan games and events. These items can be used to get resources, finish upgrades, or summarize.
Development, Release & Marketing
Supercell created Clash of Clans. the company behind other popular mobile games like heyday. So, The game takes 6th months to develop with game-changing over time. The development team did not face any major hurdles at this time, according to Supercell’s Lase Lohento.
Inspired by the game are Backyard Monsters and Travian games whose art style is being influenced by the old Super NES and arcade games. So, the art style was more cartoon-based for their audience. It was a free mobile game to play online.
In 2015, Supercell released their clash of clans Super Bowl XLIX(XLIX) commercial, where Liam Nisson parodies their character to Take. On2nd February, Business Insider reported the ad as the fifth most-views Super Bowl ad.
Although, on 6th February, VentureBeat reported that the ads were the most viewed of all appearances at the Super Bowl. Youtube subscribers later called the ad the second-best Super Bowl ad behind Nissan’s “With DAD” ads.
